State of the art therapies: We have added the use of soft tissue therapy, which helps to heal musculoskeletal-type injuries, both acute and chronic conditions. This therapy is targeted toward the muscular component commonly associated with an altered movement pattern, which causes adhesions between the involved musculature. With this therapy, your chiropractors at Infield Chiropractic Office can aid in correcting the subluxation (skeletal/ vertebral misalignment) and muscular components commonly involved with your condition. During this therapy, Ischemic Compression (putting pressure on the muscle) is applied creating pain messages which are sent by muscle pain receptors, called chemonociceptors and mechanonociceptors. These receptors are sensitive to chemicals within the body that produce the pain you experience. As ischemic compression is performed, there is a decrease in blood flow to the area creating a decrease in oxygen supply to the muscle. When the pressure on the muscle is released, an increase in circulation and oxygen supply are rushed into the area flushing out inflammatory agents, therefore relieving pain. This allows your chiropractors at Infield Chiropractic Office to correct these components, allowing your body to reduce your pain and symptomatology, ultimately healing itself.
